Virat Kohli has started to train again after a few months away from the game. The former India captain was seen training in London, marking his first public cricket session since the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) final against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in June which Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won to lift their maiden title.
Kohli had been on a break since then. He has been living in London with his family and has kept away from the spotlight.Â
Now, the 36-year-old is slowly getting back into cricket mode. He has been training with Naeem Amin, assistant coach of Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL. Amin also runs the Mighty Willow Academy in London. Virat Kohli shared a photo with him on Instagram, thanking him for the session.

When Will Virat Kohli Return to Action?
Kohli was expected to return in the ODI series against Bangladesh in August but the tour has been postponed. His next chance to play for India will come in October in the away ODI series against Australia.
The series will be important for Kohli. It will give him a chance to show he is still India’s important player in the format and to put any doubts about his future to rest.
