Ravi Shastri praises MS Dhoni's glovework

MS Dhoni was inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame on Monday, May 9. He was one of the seven new inductees to the elite ICC section. Apart from Dhoni, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Hashim Amla, Matthew Hayden, Sana Mir, and Sarah Taylor were the other former cricketers who found a place in ICC's Hall of Fame.

By including the former Indian skipper in this elite list, the ICC has tried to pay a tribute for his incredible achievement in the game. He is not only loved in India but in the world over. His contribution also remains massive to the game.

He remains the only captain to have won all three major ICC titles. He won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. Having led the Indian team during the era of Ricky Ponting and Graeme Smith, Dhoni carved a niche for himself.

He Has Hands Faster Than A Pickpocket - Ravi Shastri On MS Dhoni

Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri compared MS Dhoni's glovework to that of a pickpocketer during the ICC Hall of Fame ceremony. He said that a batter would not want MSD behind the stumps in a big game.

“He has hands faster than that of a pickpocket. If you're ever in India, going for a big game, especially in Ahmedabad, you don't want MS behind you; watch that back. The wallet will disappear,” Ravi Shastri said during the ICC ceremony.

Shastri also praised Dhoni for never showing his emotions on the field. This quality of the former Indian skipper has also been often spoken about.

"He gets out for zero is the same; he wins the World Cup is the same; he gets a hundred the same, and two hundred the same. There is absolutely, you know, no difference," he added.
