In a video shared by BCCI’s official Twitter handle, Shubman Gill looked back at India’s performance in the fourth Test.

Gill and Rahul shared a 188-run stand for the third wicket in Manchester

Shubman Gill, the Indian skipper, scored runs for his team yet again when it mattered the most. India needed runs from him in the second innings of the fourth Test and he did not disappoint.

After England piled up 669 runs and took a lead of over 300 runs, the Indian openers needed to give the team a good start. Unfortunately, that did not happen with India losing two wickets in the very first over.

That was again Shubman Gill joined KL Rahul and batted together for 63 overs, taking body blows and giving everything on the line for the team. Gill scored his ninth Test ton as he scored 103 runs off 238 balls. Rahul scored 90 runs off 230 balls as the two batted for India not only to score runs but also kill time.

We Are A Great Team - Shubman Gill

In a video shared by BCCI’s official Twitter handle, Shubman Gill looked back at India’s performance in the fourth Test and picked out his partnership with Rahul as one of the key moments in the game.

"To be able to have that same mindset for 140 overs is very difficult, and that is what differentiates a good team from a great team, and I think we showed that today, that is why we are a great team” Gill told BCCI.
"Zero for two and then the partnership between me and KL bhai, I think that's what ignited the belief that yes, we can achieve this task. Extremely, extremely happy. To be able to get a draw from the position that we were in yesterday is extremely satisfying” he added further.

Most Pleasing To Me - Gill On Manchester Ton

Gill further picked his Manchester ton as his most satisfying innings in the series so far. That he scored the runs with his team in a spot of bother made it even more special.

"I think this inning of mine was the most pleasing to me."

Gill has scored 722 runs in the series so far. Meanwhile, KL Rahul himself has scored over 511 runs and the two of them are the top run-getters in the series so far. The fifth Test starts from July 31 and India needs both Rahul and Gill to keep going.
