Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj picked a fifer in the second innings to help India win the fifth Test at The Oval and level the series in the process. He ended the series with 23 wickets, the most by any bowler in this Test series.
On day 5, England needed 35 more runs to win with four wickets remaining. India, led by Siraj’s inspiring spell, took the remaining four wickets, giving away just 28 runs. Siraj took three of the last four wickets to fall, including the final wicket of Gus Atkinson to close out the England innings for 367 runs.
Mohammed Siraj spoke about how he managed to get the drive to perform on the final day. He further spoke about trusting his skills as a bowler, as he always does.

“When I woke up today, I thought I could do it. I downloaded a picture from Google saying ‘believe’,” Siraj revealed after India's thrilling 6-run win that helped them draw the five-match series 2-2.
The day started with Jamie Overton smacking Prasidh Krishna for a boundary in the very first over of the day, bringing down the margin to 31 runs. Siraj then dismissed Jamie Smith in his very first over nicking him off to Dhruv Jurel. In his very next over, he found Overton plumb in front of the wickets. Prasidh Krishna then dismissed Josh Tongue and England were nine down in a matter of moments. Siraj deservedly took the last wicket to fall for England as he clean bowled Gus Atkinson to send the Indian crowd overjoyed at The Oval.

Lord's Was Heartbreaking - Siraj
After the match, he spoke to Sky Sports and Michael Atherton about becoming India’s hero at The Oval after he found himself at the receiving end at Lord’s.
“Lord’s was heartbreaking. Jaddu bhai told me to back my defence and remember my dad. That’s what I did” Siraj said.
