The revised schedule sees only two doubleheaders played on both the Sundays. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator are set to be played on May 29 and 30, respectively. The second qualifier will be played on June 01, with the final on June 03. Earlier, some reports had mentioned that the remainder of the IPL 2025 tournament could be played out in South cities - Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. However, the board has finalized Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mumbai and Ahmedabad instead, apart from Bengaluru.

IPL's new schedule will see the likes of CSK, PBKS, and SRH not get any home matches. All the teams had one home game left in the remainder of the IPL 2025 season. The called-off game between PBKS vs DC will be replayed from ball one in Jaipur on May 24. Apart from that game, PBKS will also play their remaining two games in Jaipur.

MI, who are in contention for a playoff spot, will get to play their final home match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium against DC on May 21.

Question mark remains on foreign players availability

Notably, one major question remains: will the foreign players who returned home after IPL 2025 was suspended for one week return? Already there are talks are going on that the Capitals Mitchell Starc might not return. Also, there will also be a spotlight on Test players of Australia and South Africa in particular with the World Test Championship (WTC) Final set to be played on June 11 to 15, which is only one week away after the IPL final gets over.
