The league is set to resume on May 17, with the league stage continuing until May 27, followed by playoffs starting May 29 and the final on June 3.
The video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media captured Samson in top form, effortlessly dispatching deliveries with his signature elegance and power. Facing a barrage of pace and spin, the 30-year-old looked sharp, signaling that he is ready to reclaim his spot as the team’s batting linchpin and captain.Â
The clip, which quickly went viral, has sparked excitement among fans, with many praising Samson’s hunger to return to action.
Rajasthan Royals have two league matches remaining against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 18 and May 20 respectively. They are among the three teams who have already been eliminated from the playoff race. After 12 matches, RR are placed at ninth position on the IPL 2025 points table with just three wins.
Sanju Samson’s Performance in IPL 2025
Initially sidelined from wicket-keeping duties after undergoing finger surgery, he played the first three matches as a specialist batter. However, a rib injury sustained against Delhi Capitals on April 16 forced him to retire hurt after scoring 31 runs off 19 balls, causing him to miss several subsequent matches.
In seven innings before the injury, Samson amassed 224 runs at an average of over 32 and a strike-rate of 143.59.
