The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 auction will take place on July 6 and 7. The tournament, now entering its second season, has expanded from six to eight teams after the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) added two new franchises, Outer Delhi and New Delhi. The new teams were sold for INR 10.6 crore and INR 9.2 crore respectively.
Hundreds of players have registered for the men’s auction on July 6, which will be followed by the women’s auction on July 7. The league has been created to boost cricket at the grassroots level in Delhi and give emerging players a platform to showcase their talent alongside established stars.
This year’s auction is expected to be bigger with more visibility and star presence. Several well-known names from the Indian Premier League (IPL) are set to feature in the auction pool, raising the excitement levels for franchises and fans alike.
