Day 2 of India's intra-squad game in Beckenham was different from the different players playing the game. For Sarfaraz Khan, it was a happy day as he scored a century while for Jasprit Bumrah, it was a disappointing outing.

Sarfaraz scored a century from 76 balls while the lead Indian pacer went wicketless in what was a tough day at the office for Bumrah. India had previously scored 459 runs and on day 2, India A ended with 299 runs for six wickets.

Ishan Kishan was unbeaten on 45 runs and Shardul Thakur unbeaten on 19 runs at stumps on day 2. Sarfaraz Khan's ton was the highlight of the day. He hit 15 fours and two sixes during his knock and eventually, he was retired out to give the other batters a chance.

Sarfaraz Khan's ton Headlines India A Day 2 Performance

Safaraz Khan scored a hundred on the back of his 92 in the unofficial Test match against the England Lions. Though Sarfaraz is not a part of the main Indian Test squad for the England tour, he has made a serious case for himself in case he is needed.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for a duck by Mohammed Siraj to start India A's innings. Then Abhimanyu Easewaran scored 39 runs and Sai Sudharsan 38. Both are part of the Indian squad for the Test series against England.

Mohammed Siraj took two wickets for 86 runs while Prasidh Krishna took two wickets for 41 runs. Bumrah went for 36 runs off his seven overs and remained wicketless. Arshdeep Singh went for 52 runs off his 12 overs. He too remained wicketless.

India vs England Test Series Starts From June 20

Shubman Gill and KL Rahul scored half-centuries for the senior Indian side to show for their efforts with the bat. The warm-up match serves as a dress rehearsal for the first Test at Headingley starting from June 20. The selection will become interesting on the back of some good performances.
