The India vs England fourth Test match in Manchester ended in a draw. The result has kept India alive in the Test series with the fifth and final Test starting from July 31.
India batted for 143 overs to save the Test match in the final two days after losing two wickets in the very first over of their second innings. The rearguard action was started by Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, who first added a 188-run opening stand. While Gill scored his fourth ton of the series and his ninth overall in Tests, Rahul fell for 90 runs.
Their good work was backed up by Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, who added a 203-run stand. Jadeja scored his fifth Test ton while Sundar scored his first. India finished on 425 runs for four wickets losing just two wickets on the fifth day.

India are currently placed fourth on the WTC 2025-27 points table after the end of the fourth Test, with 16 points after four Tests with one win, one draw and two losses. They have a PCT of 33.33.
England, on the other hand, are placed third on the table. They now have 26 points after four Tests with two wins, one loss and one draw. They have a PCT of 54.17.
The table is led by Australia, who cleanswept West Indies 3-0 to kick off their WTC 2025-27 campaign. As of now, they have a PCT of 100. They are followed by Sri Lanka at number two with a PCT of 66.67, with one win and one draw from two games.
Bangladesh and West Indies are placed fifth and sixth on the points table, respectively. Meanwhile, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa are yet to kick off their WTC 2025-27 campaign.

The fifth Test between England and India starts from July 31 at The Oval. India needs to win the fifth Test to level the series, while England will be gunning for a win.
