Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is currently in Chennai to promote his new venture named 7Padel. In between that, he has found time to refresh himself with a game of pickleball with popular music composer from South India, Anirudh Ravichander.
MS Dhoni launched his new sporting venture in the Palavakkam area of Chennai on Thursday, August 7. The CSK skipper has been away from the game since the last IPL, but him being in Chennai has certainly got to do something with CSK.
While being busy with his promotions for his new venture, MS Dhoni found some time out for a pickleball session with the southern music composer. The video of MS Dhoni enjoying a pickleball session with the composer has gone viral on social media. A Twitter handle named Kolly Buzz shared a video of the two enjoying a playful session of pickleball. The video also shows MSD signing a few autographs after the sessions, making his fans happy.

MS Dhoni Playing Pickleball in Chennai
Meanwhile, while launching his new venture, MSD spoke about his growing love for the sport and how it is equally exciting and addictive for youngsters. He said that through 7Padel, he wants to create a familiar space for athletes, families and fitness lovers.
“Chennai has always been special to me. The city has given me so much on and off the field, and it feels only right to launch my first padel centre here. Padel is exciting and addictive. More importantly, it’s inclusive and anyone, not just professionals, can try the sport. I want 7Padel to be a place where athletes, families, and fitness lovers all find their space,” Dhoni said to TOI.
Meanwhile, in another corporate event in Chennai, MS Dhoni spoke about his future with CSK and his association with the city on Chennai in general. When asked about his future with the franchise, Dhoni clarified that while the imminent future is still undecided his loyalty with CSK will always remain.
“I have always said that there is a lot of time for me to decide, but if you are asking about coming back in a yellow jersey I will always be in a yellow jersey, whether I am playing or not, is a different matter” Dhoni said.

MSD On His Love For Chennai And CSK
MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings have been unanimous since IPL 2008. He has won five titles as captain for the franchise with the most recent one in 2023. Dhoni admitted that his association with CSK has helped him become a better person and the city also holds a special place in his heart.
“I feel the relationship over the years has grown. It helped me improve as a person. It helped me improve as a cricketer. CSK just happened. I think it’s good for Chennai. So, today it’s good for me also” Dhoni explained.
